## Adding Vectors | Linear Algebra | Chegg Tutors

A vector is a quantity with both magnitude and direction. To add two vectors, you’ll need to decompose each vector into its x and y components, i.e. (x1, y1) and (x2, y2), and use the sums of each component, ie.(x1 + x2, y1 + y2), to determine your resulting vector, i.e. (x3, y3).
